This youtube link gives you a quick rundown of the basic motions used in Cheerleading. This is great for beginners who aren't familiar with what motions you would need to know!

This link is made up of folders to videos of Band Dances, Cheers, and Chants that we do at Mountain View. They will not be used for tryotus and could possibly change before the season, but they'll help you get used to how we do things! They are divided further by Offense, Defense, and Generic Cheers.

Get ahead of the game by learning cheers, chants, and dances on your own time at home! We have lots of material that our spirit cheerleaders have to learn for football and basketball games. We have recorded some of our veteran cheerleaders doing the cheers for you to learn.
Here's how we recommend learning them
Step 1 - learn the words & say them out loud!
Step 2 - slow it down. try to make the video in slow-mo so you can get each motion
Step 3 - place each motion with a word, so you know when to do each motion
Step 4 - put it together and go slow, then start speeding up to the correct speed!
** also, all chants are repeated THREE times (regardless of how many times they do it in the video)
**please also note that the individuals in the videos are doing them facing the camera, so you should do the motions with the opposite arm or follow individuals who are facing backwards.
